Washington State (and National) Democrats See McMorris-Rodgers as Vulnerable

BREAKING: WA-05 is Officially a “Red to Blue” Target!
Chip in to Help us Flip the 5th!

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has placed Washington’s 5th Congressional District on its
all-important, highly competitive “Red to Blue” list.

Here’s what this means:

    1. The race in the 5th District is close — with recent polling within the margin of error!
    2. Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers is vulnerable enough to lose.
    3. Democrat Lisa Brown is strong enough to win!

That’s why the national organization that specializes in electing Democrats to Congress is coming in with some serious backup to try to elect Lisa Brown and defeat McMorris Rodgers once and for all. Rush in a contribution now to help us keep up the pressure!

Just a couple months ago Cathy McMorris Rodgers was so sure that she would easily win reelection, she was traveling around the country to talk to OTHER people’s constituents in OTHER states.

Meanwhile, Lisa Brown has been connecting with voters all over Eastern Washington. And we at the Washington State Democrats have been on the ground training hundreds of volunteer leaders and building a massive grassroots apparatus from Republic and Chewelah to Dayton and Walla Walla.

Cathy never saw this coming.

Our strategy is working. All of our effort is beginning to pay off. And here’s the best part: We’re doing it all over the state.

But we want to push even harder and take even more Republicans by surprise. That means we’ll need to hire more organizers, build on our communications strategy, and bring our Organizing Academies to every city and town we possibly can. And we need your help to do that. Contribute now to ensure that we have the resources necessary to flip the 5th and bring the fight to every corner of the state.

Our success is only possible because people like you have believed in our mission and supported our work to elect Democrats. Because our supporters have stepped up, Cathy McMorris Rodgers is now in the closest race of her political career, and Republicans all across the state in every level of office — many of whom were assumed to be shoo-ins for reelection — are beginning to worry.
